Thanks Queenie is the last in the Family Bulk Pack body of works.  It is the largest, containing 100 individually cast lead candies.

This work investigates the overbearing and outdated presence the British monarch has on NZ society, and how it is farcically reinforced with a letter from the Queen when we reach 100 years of age. 

Each piece of 'candy' is electroplated in either chrome, copper, nickel or brass.

The vessel these are contained within is a cast, fibre reinforced cement roasting dish, utilising the disposable aluminium foil roasting dish as the outer flask and a custom wooden plug to create the internal void.
